Charity Begins One Linden At A Time

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge Fair.

It's time to dig those few Linden's out of your pockets, out of those little places you have been hiding them and time to rob every Linden from your alts all in the support of ALS.

Most of you will have seen whether is be on TV or Social Media Sites or heard talk of the "Ice Bucket Challenge" and no doubt you will know someone who has done it. What's the "Ice Bucket Challenge" about ?? It's something that is designed to show the average Joe and Judy what it's like to suffer with ALS even if it's only for a few seconds. The inability to move, to speak, to anything with any kind of co-ordination is what ALS suffers deal with every second of every minute of every day.

The fair is set up to raise funds within Secondlife that will be donated to the fight to Cure ALS in it's various forms. Most famous of all people I believe to suffer with ALS is Stephen William Hawkings who at the age of 72 is still alive against people's expectations. Most aren't so lucky.

The Fair has quite a few different designers who have come together in support of this Charity and are offering their designs as a donation. All YOU have to do is head on over there, have a look for yourself and even if you only buy ONE item from all ALS Vendors, that's a few more dollars the charity has to use in the fight against ALS.

Designers:
Sweet Revolutions
Flecha Creations
United InshCon
Fetch
Annex
StoryBook
Acios ....... and the list goes on.

These designers and more bring you clothing, footwear (Slink and non slink) Jewellery, head wear, gadgets, decor items and much more. If there isn't anything you like, the organizers have a booth with two donation vendors where you can simply donate Lindens. Even if you only donate L$5- L$10, every little helps and is appreciated.

So come down to the fair, have a look around and please support the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, thousands will appreciate your kindness.

I just wanted to share with you a video I saw that touched me. It's by a young man who has watched his Grandmother die from ALS, is caring for his mother who has ALS and was recently diagnosed with ALS. He's very open and frank and his main concern after being diagnosed is .... soon he may not be able to care for his mother as the ALS has already started to take it's cruel affect.

Remember, even if it's L$1 Linden, $1, £1, it's all appreciated.
